About Alan Wright

Alan Wright has over thirty years experience in all aspects of patent law. He began his patent career in 1989 at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office serving as an Examiner in the art of ceramic materials and processes and as an Attorney Advisor in the Office of Legislative and International Affairs. From 1995 to 1996, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable William C. Bryson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Thereafter, Mr. Wright has worked at a number of top law firms in the Washington, D.C. area, focusing on complex patent litigation in both the U.S. district courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Mr. Wright is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and has experience with both patent prosecution, as well as post-grant proceedings such as IPRs.

During his career, Mr. Wright has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of technologies including:

  • cellular telephone technologies
