As a Partner with Devlin Law Firm, Lynn A. Lehnert applies her extensive scientific background to various intellectual property matters. Ms. Lehnert represents Universities and other patent owners in multiple jurisdictions, including the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. She is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, with experience prosecuting patent applications and handling petitions for inter partes review.

Ms. Lehnert also has extensive experience prosecuting trademark applications, including representing trademark applicants before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She is also a seasoned toxic tort litigator, including a multi-year, multi-jurisdiction class action involving pesticides. In intellectual property, toxic torts, and environmental matters, Ms. Lehnert leverages her extensive training and experience in biology and chemistry. Her knowledge and technical skill bring a distinct advantage to clients in disputes involving complex scientific disputes, and enable her to communicate these issues effectively to clients and the court.

In addition to her intellectual property experience, Ms. Lehnert served as an Assistant Missouri State Public Defender, handling a full caseload of felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile matters. While in law school, Ms. Lehnert focused her studies on energy law, patent law, and the emerging issue of gene patents. She had the unique experience of working on the Human Genome Project for two years as a laboratory assistant.
